No UK single market access / free-trade without free movement for European citizens.

We encourage the European Parliament to reject any post-Brexit agreement with the UK that grants the UK full or partial membership, special access, or free trade with the single market - including the customs union, passporting or other advantages of EU membership - if the UK insists on blocking free movement of European citizens.
We support the view of MEPs, European leaders and others who have reaffirmed that the four freedoms of the European Union are indivisible. No nation should be selectively granted just those freedoms they prefer. Nor should they be granted them without also meeting the obligations entailed.
“I refuse to imagine a Europe where lorries and hedge funds are free to cross borders but citizens are not.” - Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament.
If Britain truly wants free trade - with full or significant access, or free trade with, the European single market - it has to recognize that the vast majority of Europeans have one thing to trade: their physical and intellectual labour. Any deal that allows extensive market access and movement for capital, corporations or services, whilst barring most of the people, would be free trade for the rich and isolation and exclusion for everyone else.
We further request that the UK not be permitted to pick and choose which sectors they want membership, access, free trade or free movement for. This would be a form of protectionism. It would allow the UK to brain-drain those professions and skills they have in short supply whilst discriminating against other workers and member states.
“Before they were in and they had many opt-outs; now they want to be out with many opt-ins." - Xavier Bettel
The UK’s decision to leave must not be allowed to fragment or dilute the European Union or erode its principles.
The UK must not be permitted to take the benefits of membership whilst abdicating from the obligations it entails: peace through trade, mutual solidarity, human rights protection, democratic participation - and a common citizenship for all Europeans.
We recognize the democratic choice and special situations of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar. We urge the European Union to make the best possible provision to permit them to remain members of the EU or, at least, to retain the best possible access to the single market and other membership rights, along with the corresponding obligations.
We are also cognizant of the position of Remain voters who wish to retain a relationship with the European Union and urge the European Union to consider some form of associate membership for those who, of their own volition, choose to adopt it. We urge you to allow them to retain some benefits of, and identification with, the European project along with the corresponding duties and obligations of citizenship.
