Being therian means cherishing the freedom to express one's inner self, yet I and many others like me face constant scrutiny and bullying for simply being who we truly are. This is the daily reality for several alter-humans in Maryland. Our identities as therians, enthusiasts of quad suits and vocal practices, remain marginalized and misunderstood. We plead for the creation of specialized schools where we can engage in our passions without judgment.

These specialized schools could provide a haven for alter-humans across the state, allowing us to refine our skills, express our identities openly, and foster a sense of community among like-minded individuals. Harassment against alter-humans is a significant concern, with over 60% of alter-humans and furries experiencing bullying both online and offline as reported by Furry Research Center.

By facilitating specialized schools that celebrate diversity and inclusivity, we can rectify this statistic. Not only will this benefit alter-humans by providing a nurturing environment to cultivate their unique talents, but it will also promote a broader understanding and acceptance of alter-human identities in our society.
