Central Government of India under leadership of Hon P.M Sri Narendra Modi has taken historic decision to create Ministry of Cooperation  first time after 75 years of Independence. Central Govt of India is also mandated to open national cooperative university.  This national Cooperative university should be open in Gujarat because Gujarat is place of member centric and member driven cooperative movement. National leaders like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Morarjibhai Desai, Tribhuvanbhai Patel, Uavraj Udaybhansinhji, Vaikunthbhai Mehta and cooperative veterans like Dr . Vargees Kurian , Ms Ilaben Bhat etc have given direction and momentum to movement. Gujarat is place of IIFCO, KRIBHCO, AMUL, SEWA, IIM(A), IRMA, URICM.  

National Cooperative university will get pro-active support of state government and will be experimental lab of cooperative initiative to fulfil aspiration of members of cooperatives of pan India 

It will be victory of Cooperative movement towards creation of vibrant Eco System to flourish and sustain all cooperative organisations  in India
