I am a resident of Key West, FL and like many others here, I find myself driving 3 hours to Miami just to enjoy a meal from Chipotle or Chick-Fil-A. This is not only inconvenient but also time-consuming. Our community deserves better.

Key West is home to over 24,000 people who are currently underserved by these popular food chains (U.S. Census Bureau). The addition of these restaurants would not only provide more dining options for residents but could also boost local employment and contribute positively to our economy.

Moreover, both Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A have shown significant growth nationally. According to Statista reports, as of 2020 there were over 2,600 Chipotle outlets and more than 2,400 Chick-Fil-A locations across the United States - yet none in Key West.

We believe that the introduction of these restaurants in our city would be met with enthusiasm by locals and tourists alike. We urge the management teams at both Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., and Chick-fil-A Inc., as well as our local city council members to consider this proposal seriously.
