Establish Buchwuch: A Flexible, Personal Holiday for Jewish Community

The Issue

As a group of Jewish friends living in the USA, we've been inspired by humor and camaraderie to propose a unique idea. We envision the creation of 'Buchwuch', a flexible holiday that can be invoked when two or more Jews agree upon it. This concept is not meant to undermine the significance of our traditional holidays but rather to add an element of fun and adaptability into our lives.

The beauty of Buchwuch lies in its flexibility. The details and rules can be tailored depending on the situation, making it a truly personal holiday experience. It's an opportunity for us to take time off work or other activities when we feel the need for it while also fostering community spirit.

While this proposal may seem unusual, there are precedents for such flexible holidays around the world. For instance, Japan has 'Happy Monday System' where certain public holidays are moved to Mondays creating long weekends (source: Japan's Public Holiday Law).

We understand that this petition might raise eyebrows due its unconventional nature; however, we believe in its potential as a tool for stress relief and community bonding with inJewish community here in the United Stated.

Here is the story, Me and some Jewish friend were watching skits. We came across one that mentioned a fake Jewish Holiday called BuchWuch. We immediately fell in love with the concept of a holiday that could be called anytime to get out of annoying or awkward situations. We began to use the phrase, "Can't talk it's BuchWuch," and the idea grew from there.

Any help would be great and who knows, maybe if you sign this you can use this holiday as well. Signatures would mean a lot to us, so if you could take a minute to sign this we would be so greatful.

We ask you all - regardless of your faith or location - to support us in this endeavor by signing this petition. Let's bring Buchwuch into existence!
