Southern Highlands has a diverse culinary scene. However, we lack one of America's beloved chain restaurants - Olive Garden. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and delicious Italian cuisine, Olive Garden has more than 800 locations nationwide (source: Darden Restaurants Inc.). Yet, there isn't one within convenient reach for the residents of Southern Highlands. Having an Olive Garden on our side of town would not only satisfy the cravings of many but also contribute to our local economy by creating jobs. We urge Darden Restaurants Inc., the parent company of Olive Garden, to consider establishing a location in Southern Highlands.
