Fed up with the governing systems, I am urging for a change in our government. A system where society's turmoil is addressed and rectified. Every day, like many of you, I feel manipulated, lied to, and observe our freedoms shrinking. A primary example is the recent TikTok ban. Despite public outcry, our voices were blatantly disregarded. This trend of ignoring our voices cannot continue.

We are appealing for a government that's truly democratic, where elected officials listen to their constituents and are paid comparable wages to everyday American citizens. According to the Congressional Research Service, lawmakers have a base salary that's over 3.5 times higher than the median household income. This disparity in income promotes a class divide and hinders the understanding of average citizens' struggles.

We are not only challenging the way our government operates but also the value system it embodies. As citizens, it's our duty to ensure our system serves us and not just the privileged elite. We need a government that is based on fairness, respect and understanding. Our voices need to resonate in the halls of power, not dissipate in the wind. It’s time our elected officials truly represent us and know, first-hand, the realities we face. Let us band together; let us sign this petition and make our voices heard. We demand a government for the people, by the people just as our founding fathers intended.
