I am an avid skater, compelled by a burning passion for the sport. Sadly, our great city of Kuwait lacks a dedicated space to indulge in it. This petition has been created in order to appeal for the construction of a skatepark in Kuwait City.

Skateboarding is not just about passion, it’s a source of community, confidence, and health benefits. According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, skateboarding can help improve balance, agility, and coordination and has seen a significant global growth over the past few years. It is a sport that also fosters creativity, resilience and provides a sense of belonging among individuals of all backgrounds.

Despite these numerous benefits, potential skateboarders in Kuwait are deprived of an accessible, safe environment to learn and practice. The lack of a proper facility for this growing sport is hindering the development of our youth’s potential in this field.

While Kuwait is moving forward in so many areas, let's not lag behind in empowering every niche of our diverse interests. Let us provide a space where our board-riding enthusiasts can safely and freely express themselves.
