I am a resident of Cabuyao, Laguna and an animal lover. Every time I see homeless dogs or cats wandering our streets, it breaks my heart. These innocent creatures deserve better - they deserve a safe haven where they can be cared for until they find their forever homes.

In the Philippines, there are approximately 11.6 million stray dogs and 4.2 million stray cats (Philippine Animal Welfare Society). In our city alone, countless strays roam the streets without shelter or regular meals.

We propose the establishment of an animal shelter in Cabuyao, Laguna to address this issue. This facility will not only provide temporary housing for these animals but also ensure that they receive necessary medical attention and care.

The creation of this shelter will significantly improve the lives of these animals while promoting responsible pet ownership among residents. It's time we take action to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
