I, along with many others, live in Robinson Township. We have long been lumped together with McKees Rocks under the zip code 15136. However, our community is not even close to McKees Rocks geographically. It's time for a change that reflects our unique identity and location.

Robinson Township has its own distinct character and community spirit that differentiates us from McKees Rocks. Yet, we are still identified under the same zip code which often leads to confusion and misrepresentation of our township. We also have a well bigger demographic than most areas around who have their own areas and names yet we are not considered anything and not even on the map. We’re not McKees Rocks.

Having a separate zip code would not only help in better identifying our township but also aid in more accurate data collection for planning and development purposes. According to the United States Postal Service (USPS), zip codes are essential tools used by businesses, government agencies, and individuals to send mail accurately and quickly.

It's high time we recognize Robinson Township as an independent entity deserving of its own postal identification. This will ensure better representation of our residents' needs at local and national levels.
