Despite constituting a significant portion of the population, the lower class, particularly African Americans, continue to face systemic inequalities that hinder our collective progress. With poverty rates among African Americans significantly higher than other racial groups, it's time we address this disparity with vigorous action. The formation of a new political party that truly represents the interests of the lower class African American community is not just necessary, but long overdue. Our political choices have historically been confined to parties that neither prioritize nor fully comprehend the challenges faced by lower-income African Americans. According to the Census Bureau, the poverty rate for African Americans stood at 19.5% in 2020, compared to just 10.5% for white Americans. These figures reflect deep-rooted inequities that demand focused, authentic representation and advocacy. Our proposed political party would concentrate on issues critical to the lower class, including equitable access to quality education, affordable healthcare, housing, and fair employment opportunities. To top it off, it would work on criminal justice reforms that eliminate racial biases and ensure African Americans receive equal treatment under the law. By forming an inclusive platform, we aim to empower individuals, voice their concerns, and drive policy changes that foster equality and economic prosperity. Establishing this party requires a collective effort from all of us who believe in a just and equal society. We will harness our collective power to champion policies that specifically benefit our communities.
