I, as a local business owner, have witnessed a recurring issue that affects both my customers and overall traffic flow. Regular patrons are frequently forced to stop traffic in order to assist those in wheelchairs, and others simply cannot park and enter the premises due to their busy schedules. This lack of accessibility and convenience severely limits the outreach of my business. The solution to this issue is simple and beneficial for everyone involved: a part time curbside parking spot. 

Not only will this accommodate those on-the-go, but it will also make my business more accessible for people with physical disabilities.

 Cities like Portland and Austin have led the way by implementing curb zones, demonstrating a 10% increase in patronage, especially amongst those with mobility challenges (CityLab report, 2019). Furthermore, according to a CDC report, one in four U.S. adults, or 61 million people, have a disability that impacts major life activities - and for these individuals, better access could mean a world of difference.

This petition is intended to bring the need of such an accommodation into light!
