As a pregnant mother, with a toddler, and dependent on public transport to go about our daily life, I am calling for an additional bus stop to be established near 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SD for bus route 483. The closest bus stop is inconveniently situated by the bridge, making it difficult for parents, particularly those of us with young children, to manage the extensive walk. The lives of local families including mine are affected as we often have to carry baby equipment, groceries, and more for long distances. As it stands, anyone living along Windmill Lane has to traverse an unreasonable distance to reach the nearest bus stop by Ironbridge.

Interestingly, this issue does not stem from a lack of space. The bus route already extends all the way to the roundabout in front of armstrong way to make a U-turn before proceeding to the next stop. Hence, we can logically and feasibly accommodate an additional bus stop. Installing a new stop will not just aid parents and families, but will improve transport accessibility for the elderly, disabled residents, and anyone else facing mobility issues within our community.

The personal urgency of this matter cannot be understated. My pregnancy and responsibility for my toddler makes this a daily challenge that could easily be alleviated merely by adding a new stop.
