Many of us living in Virden, including travellers passing by on Highway 1, often find ourselves limited in our options for a quick and convenient meal. It's a situation that I, and many others, face regularly, and it's time we address it directly. We propose to McDonald's Corporation, a globally recognized brand known for its fast food services, to open a branch in our town.

The benefits aren't just personal or convenient, but also economic. For instance, in their 2019 Economic Impact Report, McDonald’s Corporation reported that each of their restaurants contributes roughly $2.2 million to the economy of the local community every year.

By opening a branch here in Virden, not only would residents have another reliable food option, but also employment opportunities would be introduced. The establishment of a store here would make our town a more desirable stopover for travellers navigating Highway 1, contributing greatly to our local economy. 

Let us be proactive in attracting businesses that offer both convenience and revenue to our community. Let us stand together and request McDonald's Business owners to expand their operations to Virden, MB. Please sign this petition to show your support.
