Our communities, stretching from Ferguson to Dunlow, Crum, Stepptown, Jennie’s Creek, Webb, Wilsondale, and more, are often left vulnerable without timely EMS support. This is not just about peace of mind—it's about the safety and well-being of our citizens and the numerous off-road trail riders who frequent our beautiful landscapes.

Despite our rural setting, we should not be deprived of essential emergency services. Access to swift EMS response is not a luxury; it is a necessity. The current distance to the nearest EMS station and the response times are simply unacceptable. In emergency situations, every second counts, and our communities deserve rapid response services that can make the difference between life and death.

Wayne County has a responsibility to its residents. We are calling on the Wayne County Commissioner’s office to take decisive action and establish or reopen an EMS station to adequately serve the people of southern Wayne County.
