Many of us in this community share a common, joyful experience; we are pet-parents to a multitude of wonderful dogs, our beloved furkids. Our pets enrich our lives in countless ways. They need an environment where they can play, socialize, and roam freely in a secure area. That's why we urgently need a local dog park.

Studies suggest that dog parks can actually provide numerous benefits; for dogs, they offer a safe space to run around, exercise, and interact with other canines which contributes to their good health and well-being. For dog owners, they promote a sense of community and encourage responsible pet ownership (Source: Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis study on the importance of dog parks, 2015).

By establishing a dog park in our area, we indeed support the growth and wellness of our four-legged friends, but also create a more vibrant, connected, and engaging community for all of us. It will also be more considerate towards the Muslim community, as we often have to avoid each other when we bring our dogs for walks. We must prioritize the needs of our furkids and ensure they are given the opportunity to thrive. I urge our local authorities to consider this proposal seriously.
