As a passionate member of the Zephyrhills community, I firmly believe in the potential of our students at Zephyrhills High School. Engaging students is at the heart of a thriving educational environment, and expanding our school's activities roster to include a haunted house and fall festival could provide a unique engagement opportunity. Through this new venture, our students will have a chance to participate in a fun, community-building event while earning service hours.

According to the National Youth Leadership Council, “school engagement and sense of community belonging increase when students participate in service-learning activities.” Our own students will help organize and run these events, pushing them to learn in practical and meaningful environments. Their contributing efforts will be recognized as service hours, allowing them to invest back into their community while gaining valuable experiences for their future endeavors.

Zephyrhills High School has always been a source of pride and unity for our town. By proposing the haunted house and fall festival, we will build stronger ties within our community and offer students an exciting, hands-on path to learn outside the traditional classroom. We urge the school administration to consider this proposal.
