Establish a federal watchdog agency to oversee state DHRs.
This is to establish a federal watchdog agency to oversee state departments of human resources (DHRs), which would review complaints regarding the safety of the children and the protection of parental rights, be empowered to issue emergency injunctions, and discipline agencies accordingly.
DHR agencies currently have no "watchdog agency" to keep them honest, which means they can cut any corner they want with no fear of reprisal. The only authority the DHR answers to is themselves, so a federal body needs to be put in place in order to keep them honest, and keep our children safe. We need an agency outside of local state jurisdiction to make sure the DHRs are doing their jobs correctly, efficiently, and making sure children stay in the arms of those who love them and can keep them safe.
With the current system, if a child is removed from their home erroneously by the DHR, there is no way to quickly and safely correct the situation.
