A CLAT Examination Centre for Nashik

I am Rugved Patil, a student from Nashik.

I have always believed that education should not be limited by geography.

A student’s dream should be measured by their ability, preparation and determination, not by the distance between their home and an examination centre.

For many students in Nashik and the surrounding region, CLAT is not merely another examination. It is a dream of studying law, of entering the world of justice, and perhaps one day using that education to create change in society.

But when a student has to travel to another city simply to appear for an examination, the journey becomes more difficult than it needs to be.

There are additional expenses.

There is travel.

There may be accommodation.

There is the pressure on parents.

And above all, there is unnecessary uncertainty before an examination that already demands everything a student has.

An examination should test a student's mind, not their circumstances.

Nashik is a major educational and cultural centre of Maharashtra, surrounded by thousands of students aspiring for higher education and professional careers.

We are therefore requesting the Consortium of NLUs to consider establishing a CLAT examination centre in Nashik.

This is not a demand for privilege.

It is a request for access.

Because equality does not always mean giving everyone the same thing. Sometimes, it means removing the unnecessary barriers that stand between a person and an opportunity.

I am raising this petition not only for myself, but for every student who has looked at their future and wondered whether their city will stand between them and their dream.

As young people, we often speak about changing society.

Perhaps change begins with something smaller:

standing up when something can be made better.

This petition is one such attempt.
