Have you ever missed your bus before?

Have you ever had to take multiple buses on your commute, only to take longer than what you thought?

Have you ever taken a bus that takes you all over the place, only to get to your desired destination 30 minutes later than you intended?

As it stands, getting from Box Hill to Huntingdale takes over an hour. Weaving through either Blackburn, Warragul or Stephensons Road. All three of the latter require a change in bus at one point.

A proposed service would take approximately 20 minutes. Cutting the lengthily commute into more than half of what it is now.

This is why I, as a local, have started this petition. To finally address this major public transport issue.

This petition, once fully filled out, will be submitted to the Member for Ashwood, Deputy Speaker Matt Fregon MLA, who will then have to table it in Victorian Parliament.

This petition hereby states that you ultimately agree to the establishment of a new bus route which connects the 9 suburbs of Oakleigh, Huntingdale, Oakleigh East, Chadstone, Mount Waverley, Ashwood, Burwood, Box Hill and Box Hill South from Box Hill railway station through to Huntingdale Station Bus Exchange via Huntingdale Road.

This new route presents a streamlined and expressed form of travel between the suburbs of the LGA of Monash.

Attached is a rough potential proposal of what this route could be, although this is open to be changed if need be.
