Establish a 24-Hour Non-Profit Community Center for Young Entrepreneurs in Brooklyn, NY

The Issue

In Brooklyn, NY, there is a dire need of a positive, productive space for our young citizens. As a resident of this community, I've personally witnessed our children succumb to negative influences because they don't have a safe space to grow. Inspired by this distressing reality, I propose the creation of a 24-hour non-profit community center focused on empowering young entrepreneurs.

This center will not just be a safe haven, away from the streets, but also a resource hub that provides our youth with the tools needed to succeed. New York City is home to over 220,000 entrepreneurs (New York Business Journal, 2019), but unfortunately, our youth have not been sufficiently nurtured to join these ranks and provide fresh ideas that can drive our economy forward.

Furthermore, according to the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, many of our young people do not have access to comprehensive services that support their transition into productive adulthood. If we establish this 24-hour community center, hundreds of young lives can be shaped positively, the crime rate can be potentially minimized, and future leaders shaped right here in Brooklyn.

We cannot stand idle while our future leaders are lost. I urge you to sign this petition and join us in advocating for the establishment of a 24-hour non-profit community center for young entrepreneurs in Brooklyn, New York. Your signature could make a world of difference.
