I, like many other Queenslanders, have had to cut many State Of Origin celebrations short due to having work the next morning. This is especially true after every game of State Of Origin played at Suncorp stadium. It's time we honor our love for the game and the viral video of Alfie Langer requesting 6 more songs from the DJ after last year's origin victory with a new public holiday - "6 More Songs Day". 

This day would allow us all to enjoy ourselves late into the evening after the game without worrying about going to work early next morning. It would not only celebrate our sporting culture but also contribute positively to our mental well-being by providing an opportunity for relaxation and enjoyment.

The Minister Grace Grace has the authority to sign off on this new public holiday for Queenslanders. We urge her to consider this proposal seriously and recognise how much it means for us all.
