Removal of Tave Padilla and Shayvonne Anderson from Newark Public School Board!
The Issue
In 2016, Tave Padilla was elected to Newark Public School Board. During that time, M. Padilla has promised private corporations that "He would make sure he and his colleagues vote for the renewal of a Charter School's co-located lease." The vote went just as Mr. Padilla had promised Ryan Hill at the meeting with staff and parents of the Charter School.
We the signers of this petition, are no longer interested in having Mr. Padilla to serve on our school board. Mr. Padilla refused to assist the families he was sworn in to serve and made it clear that he, "represents the Northward, Shayvonne represents Charter Schools, and Adorian repesents the Southward.
We would like to recall Mr. Padilla based on 18A:12-24. Conflicts of interest (a-k)
Because Mr. Padilla expressed that Shayvonne Anderson represents private corporations, we believe that she may compromise our board by surrendering her independent judgment to special interest or partisan political groups and use the schools for personal gain or for the gain of friends. (18A:12-24.1 {F} Code of Ethics for School Board Members.
