ERISAT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MUST RESIGN | WE THE PEOPLE STAND WITH JOURNALIST HENOK AND ERISAT STUFF MEMBERS

On December 26, ERISAT board of directors issued a statement regarding a commentary made by their lead journalist Henok Tekle. Henok’s commentary was not only true but also in line with the thinking of many Eritreans who oppose the regime. As we all know ERISAT is a public opposition media funded for most part by Eritrean justice seekers. We the people expect ERISAT to deliver message which can galvanize our collective fight against the dictator in Eritrea. Journalist Henok did what we expect from ERISAT. ERISAT board of directors rather come out to dissociate themselves from his message rather than supporting him and his message. To make things worse the Board of Directors removed his video from ERISAT you tube platform, which effectively silences his voice. The board of directors’ censor one of their lead journalists to defend a criminal responsible for killing thousands of Eritrean youths. The board of directors’ sympathy with the regime infuriated the public and ERISAT staff members. According to the press statement of ERISAT CEO and his team of journalists, all members of ERISAT voted ‘vote of no confidence’ during their general meeting on December 26, 2023. All ERISAT members in conjunction with public outcry asked for the board of directors to resign in order for ERISAT to regain the public trust and confidence as a true justice seekers media. The board of directors decided to ignore the voice of their volunteers who tirelessly worked day and night to build ERISAT. The board of directors is acting like the dictator in Eritrea and try to stay in power despite the public and ERISAT members call to resign. As of right now, the board has no public or members confidence to lead the organization effectively. We asked the public to sign this petition to ask for ERISAT board of directors to resign and transition to a new board who can restore public confidence of the organization. THE BOARD MUST RESIGN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. WE THE PEOPLE STAND WITH HENOK AND ERISAT JOURNALISTS AND STUFF MEMBERS.

ታሕሳስ 26, 2023 ኣባላት ቦርድ ኤሪሳት ብመሪሕ ጋዜጠኛ ሄኖክ ተኽለ ብዛዕባ ጀነራል ሃይለ ሳምኤል ዝምልከት ዝወጸ ቪድዮ ኣመልኪቶም ጋዜጣዊ መግለጺ ኣውጺኦም ነይሮም። ጋዜጠኛ ሄኖክ ብዛዕባ ጀነራል ሃይለ ሳምኤል ዝተዛረቦ ኩሉ ሓቂ ጥራይ ዘይኮነ ንኣተሓሳስባ ደለይቲ ፍትሒ ዘንጸበርቕ እዩ ነይሩ። ከምቲ ኩልና እንፈልጦ ኤሪሳት ናይ ደልይቲ ፍትሒ ሚድያ ተባሂለ ብህዝቢ ገንዘባዊ ሓገዝ ክግበረላ ዝጸንሐት ትካል እያ። ትጽቢት ደለይቲ ፍትሒ ድማ ኤሪሳት ንህዝቢ ዝቕስቅሱ፡ ንወጽዓ ህዝቢ ዘንጸባርቑ ትሕዝቶ ዘለዎም መደባት ምቕራብን ህዝቢ ምንቃሕን እዩ። ጋዜጠኛ ሄኖክ ድማ ብትብዓት ኣብ ቅድሚት ኮይኑ ትርግታ ህዝቢ ብድምጻ፡ ንወጽዓ ህዝቢ ብዓውታ ዘቃልሕ ዝሎ ተባዕ ተቓላሲ እዩ። ኣባላት ቦርድ ኤሪሳት ንጋዜጠኛ ሄኖክን መሳርሕቱን ኣብ ክንዲ ምትብባዕ፡ ንዓማጺ ጀነራል ስርዓት ህግደፍ ብምጥባቕ፡ ንጋዜጠኛ ሄኖክ ክኹንንዎ ተዓዚብና። እቲ ካብኡ ዝገደደ ድማ፡ ድምጺ ሄኖክ ብምዕፋን፡ ነቲ መባእታዊ መሰሉ ተጠቂሙ ሕሳቡ ዘካፈለሉ ቪድዮ ካብ ናይ ኤሪሳት ገጽ ምእላዮም እዩ። እዚ ዓፈና ድምጺ ድማ ካብቲ ስርዓት ህግደፍ ኣብ 2001 ኣብ ኤርትራ ዝገበሮ ዝፍለ ኣይኮነን። ብተግባራት ኣባላት ቦርድ ኤሪሳት ዝተቆጥዐ ህዝቢ ተቃውምኡ ኣብ ማሕበራዊ መራኸቢ ብዙሓን ክገልጽ ንዕዘቦ ኣለና። ኣባላት ኤሪሳት ታሕሳስ 26, 2023 ምስ ኣባላት ቦርድ ኣብ ዝገበርዎ ርክብ፡ ካብ 21 ኣባላት 20 ኣብ ልዕሊ ቦርድ እምነት ከምዘይብሎሙን፡ ብተመሳሳሊ ህዝቢ ኣብ ልዕሊኦም እምነት ከምዘጉደለን ብምሕባር ካብ ስልጣን ክወርዱን ናይ ሓባር መሰጋገሪ ኮሚተ ብሙቛም ተኣማንነት ኤሪሳት ክመልስ ዝክእል ሓድሽ ቦርድ ከቑሙ ኣተሓሳሲቦሙም። ኣባላት ቦርድ ኤሪሳት ነቲ ካብ ህዝብን ኣባላቶምን ዝቀረበሎም ጻውዒት ዕሽሽ ብምባል፡ ልክዕ ከም ስርዓት ኣስመራ ካብ ኮረሻ ስልጣን ኣይንወርድን ምባሎም ዘሕዝን እዩ። ኣብዚ ሰዓት ቦርድ ናይ ኤሪሳት ናይ ህዝቢ ይኹን ናይ ኣባላቱ እምነት ስለዘይብሎም ነቲ ትካል ክመርሕዎ ኣይክእሉን እዮም። እዚ ስለዝኮነ እዛ ብህዝባዊ ደገፍ ኣብዚ ዝበጽሓት ትካል፡ ህዝባውነታ ተረጋጊጹ፡ ንህዝቢ ትህቦ ኣገልግሎት ክትቅጽል ቦርድ ናይ ኤሪሳት ብህጹጽ ንኽወርድ ኩሉኹም ደለይቲ ፍትሒ ናይ ደገፍ ፊርማኹም ክተቐምጡ ንጽውዕ።

ቦርድ ናይ ኤሪሳት ብህጹጽ ካብ መዝነቱ ይውረድ| ንሕና ኣብ ጎኒ ሄኖክን ኩሎምኣ ሳትን ኣለና።
