A small community group is looking to gauge the community interest in building a skating rink in Erin Ridge North.

Edited: One rink location East end of Edgewater Terrace. 

Outdoor rinks help support the healthy development of our kids through recreation, building friendships and confidence in our little ones. Additionally, it creates a space for parents to come together to connect with one another while building a safe and healthy community.

If the temporary rink is successful future steps may include lighting, rink shack and boards.

Rinks on SWM ponds are not safe.

They can be safe only for supervised use, but ultimately the danger is the conditions can change quickly and an unsupervised child could take a short cut across the pond and fall though thin ice.
