Alvin Chung started this petition to US Senator Mike Lee and

Salt Lake City International Airport is the 23rd busiest airport in the United States. As a hub for Delta Air Lines it is a large transfer and layover area for passengers. Among these passengers are veterans, service members who have written a blank check to the United States of America to an amount up to and including their lives. The old terminal of SLC International is full and has no room for a USO but we are building a brand new terminal. The USO mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to uniformed military personnel. The original intent of Congress for the USO was to represent the American people by extending a "Touch of Home" to their military members. I believe that having a USO station at the new terminal can help them accomplish their mission, as well as show Salt Lake City's support for our veterans.

With the large military population that reside here in Utah it only makes sense that the airport should have a USO office to support it’s military members.  These USOs are funded locally through state run funding and manned solely by volunteers.

We have reached out to SLC and they are not willing to allow the USO to be placed there without the full retail cost.
