If you haven't heard already, Kobe Bryant is retiring from the NBA at the end of this season, This iconic basketball player and philanthropist, has meant a great deal,for me personally and to the city of Los Angeles. Aside from his on the court accomplishments, Kobe Bryant has organized and participated in countless community service events and charities, most notably, My Friends Place and Step Up on 2nd. He is a true champion and role model that deserves a day in which the city and maybe the country could celebrate him and his life's work. What better day than August 24th (8/24), due to his two jersey numbers worn over the course of his career. Let's bring this petition to the mayor's office! Thanks.
