The Clinton Hill community welcomes and supports small, independent businesses; however, Romantic Depot (a chain store) is an unwelcome addition to the corner of Fulton St. & Washington Ave. It is in the pathway of 4 schools, 2 daycare centers, 5 churches, a mosque and multiple playgrounds. 

Romantic Depot is in violation of NYC Building Zoning rules stating that "...adult establishments must be located at least 500 feet from a house of worship, a school..."

This location and the store's overt displays with wrap-around signage and neon lights are not in step with the surrounding institutions, nor does the business embody the way many residents would like to see Fulton St. evolve.  

We are requesting this business comply with the laws of NYC and relocate to a less family oriented area than Clinton Hill.
