As an alum of Colorado State University (CSU), I have always admired the accomplishments of our fellow Ram, Becky Hammon. She is not only one of the best WNBA players of all time, a basketball Hall Of Famer, but also a three-time WNBA Championship-winning coach. Her contributions to basketball and her achievements as a coach are globally recognized.

However, it saddens me that in Fort Collins, where she honed her skills and began her journey to greatness at CSU, she doesn't receive the recognition she deserves. Becky was the best basketball player to ever play at CSU and has since become one of the world's top basketball coaches. Yet there is no significant acknowledgment or tribute to her on campus.

This petition aims to rectify this oversight by calling for a statue honoring Becky Hammon on CSU's campus. A statue would serve as an enduring symbol of her remarkable career and contributions not only to CSU but also women's sports worldwide.

Becky Hammon is more than just an accomplished athlete; she is a role model for aspiring athletes everywhere who dream big despite obstacles they may face. A statue in her honor would inspire future generations while recognizing our own homegrown talent.
