An industrial 2,400 acre solar farm, 7 miles south of the city limits of Stephenville, is being built on FM 914, we are trying to STOP IT FROM BEING BUILT.

758,618 solar panels will be on the proposed farm, creating a hazardous waste area, there is no where to recycle locally.
The agricultural country appeal will be lost to new recreational buyers, this is a fast growing area with $40 million in new property taxable value. That will stop here.
There is little benefit to our local economy.
Only 2 permanent jobs will be created. 
Studies have shown land prices near these farms plummet. 
Animal and bird populations will be greatly impacted.
The environment will be greatly affected with runoffs, clearing of all trees and removal of top soils. The panels contain toxic chemicals.
These eyesores may be here for the next 50+ years.
They are seeking a school tax limitation up to approx $8 million dollars. Most energy companies sue for further tax breaks when their 10 year credit is finished.
Other solar companies are currently seeking locations for more solar farms.
