Users of the park have witnessed that it is overrun by rats.

Rats are known to carry the following diseases Leptospirosis or Weil's
disease, Salmonella, Listeria, Toxoplasma gondii and Hantavirus, which are
transmittable to humans through a bite, scratch direct contact with rat
faeces, urine, or dead rat.

Noting the number of young people who use the park, it is only a matter of
time before a child becomes dangerously ill through contact with rats.

We therefore call upon the Council and Urban Green to eradicate the rat
population, increase the number of bins and improve the emptying programme.
