Dear Friends,

We the students of AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS), are facing an unjust and discriminatory challenge. In 2019, the National Medical Commission (NMC) introduced the National Exit Test (NEXT) for MBBS students. Due to strong protests, the implementation of NEXT for MBBS students was postponed to the 2023 batch. However, AYUSH students have been unfairly required to take this exam starting from the 2018 batch.

This retrospective imposition is not only unfair but also discriminatory. Many AYUSH students started their courses without any knowledge of this upcoming requirement, and it is unjust to impose such a significant change on students who were not prepared for it.

We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this decision and ensure equal treatment for all medical students. We request the cancellation of the retrospective NEXT exam for AYUSH students and fair consideration of our academic and professional futures.
