Equal access for GW West Hall elevators

Equal access for GW West Hall elevators
The Issue
In The George Washington University's West Hall dorm building, two elevators serve as a primary vessel of travel and accessibility throughout the building. As they currently stand, only one of this pair of elevators travel to West Hall's B1 floor, a hub of activity based on it actively hosting the whole of the Mount Vernon campus' dining, mail, and athletic facilities. As I have witnessed, the elevator that does not have access to the B1 floor can still travel to it, but only with an elevator maintenance key allowing it to do so.
This petition serves to allow the restricted elevator the ability to access the B1 floor in order for the sake of convenience and for expanded accessibility. In its current state, the elevator mulls the GW student body with an inconvenience and an unfortunate reminder of the inaccessibility that plagues the Mount Vernon campus. Thank you for reading, and for your support!
