As a concerned parent, I am deeply worried about the safety of my children and others who need to cross Epsom Road around Edgeborough Road in Guildford. My children have to cross this road daily to get to school, but the high volume and speed of traffic make it incredibly dangerous. We urgently need Surrey County Council's intervention.

The current situation is not only hazardous for school-going children but also for other pedestrians who use this route frequently such as local nurseries, GP's and other businesses. The absence of a pedestrian crossing along this stretch of Epsom Road adds further risk, making it difficult for people, especially young ones or those with mobility issues, to cross safely.

Moreover, the speed limit on this road is too high considering the residential nature of this area. A reduction in speed limit down to 20mph would significantly enhance safety measures.

We the undersigned petition Surrey County Council to provide a pedestrian crossing around the junction of Upper and Lower Edgeborough Road and impose a 20mph speed limit on Epsom Road.
