Aim assist is a serious issue in Fortnite currently. Aim assist allows players of a lower skill level to hit more shots than even the most experienced keyboard and mouse aimers. Aimer7, a player with thousands of hours practicing his aim and spending years to perfect aiming overall,lost a 1v1 aim dual to a controller player with 8 hours of game time on fortnite. This shows that no matter your skill level or experience, it is not possible to achieve the level of aiming a controller player is given. Currently aim assist has a setting to determine the strength of your aim assist. The slider allows 0-100% aim assist, Currently, Everyone who takes the game serious,play with 100% aim assist. This allows them to lock on to targets very easily and very consistently. There has recently been a outburst of clips on twitter of completely oblivious players getting completely destroyed by controller players. Currently, controller players are able to kill players so quickly that they can't even react in time. This causes immense amounts of frustration in the players getting killed by controller players. Some players think that it's just keyboard and mouse players experiencing the frustration, but not only keyboard and mouse players, but controller players are also experiencing this frustration of getting killed so quickly they can't react in high level,and low level matches. Controller currently also turns away tons of competitors looking to get into the e-sports scene,because they don't want to play in a game where one input is completely dominant over the others. Controller also has a lower recoil multiplier meaning that the guns will not kick up as much while firing them. This provides a major advantage over keyboard and mouse when it comes to shooting consistently and precisely. Controller also currently has a lower bloom multiplier than keyboard and mouse.First you must know what bloom is to fully understand what a large impact this has on game play. Bloom is the random chance for the bullets to go anywhere within the proximity of your reticle. This means a lower bloom multiplier creates a higher chance for the bullet to go to the center of the reticle than with a higher bloom multiplier.This means that while shooting at a target the bullets are more likely to go to the center of the reticle on controller when compared to keyboard and mouse.

The solution- There are many solutions to this major issue within the community. After testing, numerous players have agreed that aim assist strength should be reduced to a maximum of 75%. This means that the new slider set to 100%, would be equal to the old slider set to 75%. And then at the same time set the bloom multiplier to the same as keyboard and mouse. The next step to making controller equal to keyboard and mouse would be to make the recoil multiplier equal to the keyboard and mouse multiplier.

Scroll wheel reset- Controller players have been wanting scroll wheel reset for a while now since keyboard and mouse players have it. Scroll wheel reset allows you to reset your wall quickly and make it more consistent. With the changes above, it would be fair for controller players to have one button reset to be equal with keyboard and mouse.
