The Issue

Fortnite has been adding extra variants to cosmetics. Usually these are great, but they are a money grab. Many people buy a new skin, picaxe, etc. for Epic Games, to release it but better a few seasons later. For example, Fishstick was once just a singular skin, with added free styles, until they started releasing stuff like Contract Giller, Triggerfish, and Atlantean Fishstick, these are all the same skin, except for making them separate skins, instead of an extra style. We all know, this isn’t cause they are separate skins, it is because being a big company, they like to grab that money!
Many children and players fall into the hype, and buy this stuff (trust me for spending almost 800 dollars on the game, I know how this works, and it’s unhealthy spending.) They price Triggerfish and Atlantean Fishstick an extra 12 bucks, instead of them getting it for free with the purchase of the OG season 7 Fishstick.
How would you feel if you bought the Black Widow released in Season 8, before the second Variant was even an idea, and then get on in Ch 2 S 4 to see this brand new, and even better than the original, Black Widow (snowsuit) for 1,500 v bucks or 15 dollars. You would wish ‘I shouldn’t have bought this, a better one came out.’
I love Fortnite, it’s a great game, but their money greed is almost disgusting, a lot of parents don’t even let their children buy anything, and if they ever get something, they’d be disappointed when a new and better one comes out 2 months later. Sign this petition for the sake of people’s money.

(Note) Epic Games, if you read this, please note I am not dis-ing your game, but frankly making the point that children should get stuff like Black Widow (snowsuit) for free if they already bought the original Black Widow, or Fishstick.
