EPFO FY19-20 interest not credited yet, delay of 20 Months

EPFO FY19-20 interest not credited yet, delay of 20 Months

The Issue

Dear EPFO,

As on 16-Nov-2021 our EPF interest for FY19-20 is still not credited to our EPF account, the delay is over 20 months. The interest is supposed to be credited on 31st March 2020. Each year there is a delay in crediting the interests and the delay is increasing every year breaking new records for FY19-20.

All employees in our organisation (VMware) have not received EPF interest for FY19-20. EPFO: (SRO) BOMMASANDRA, Bangalore 560076

Employees are KYC complete and still have not received the interest for FY19-20

This delay can cause a loss to employees for no fault of their own. Requesting you to look into this matter on priority and to protect employee interests in this matter.

Response provided by EPFO on grievances raised:

It is to inform that, your employer is delaying the submission of required documents to EPFO, hence compilation of annual accounting procedure not yet completed for your establishment, once completed interest will be reflects in your passbook.

Response from employer:

This is to inform you that, the said issue has been taken up with the EPFO authorities and all necessary documents have been submitted to the department, currently this activity is pending with EPFO to process the annual accounts and credit the interest to all the individual members, additionally the interest credit issue is also been faced by other Industries also, however we shall keep tab with the authorities & communicate back once the same is closed, you will be able to view the interest in your PF passbook post completion of this activity.
