MTDC has started cutting and burning a large number of coconut and magnrove trees "Sea Wall of City" in the name of the tourist center running in Mumbai - Aksa. Vishal Bhagat, Social Activist, told that a large number of trees and mangroves lying in a large number of about 2 acres are being cut and burnt here. In the name of development and tourism, playing with nature is not good for the future. We should learn from the terrible disasters which are taking place on earth. We have been hearing for a long time that Earth's temperature is rising. Climate change is taking place. The environment is changing rapidly. Due to this, Glaciers can soon melt as a result it will increase the sea level. Trees like mangroves along the sea shore can definitely protect the people and the city living along the seashores, one common point to be noted is that trees like mangroves also absorbs tsunami shock waves. 

Major effects of cutting Trees:

1. Deforestation increases the temperature and pollution level on the earth.
2. Ground water level also gets lowered.
3. Deforestation disturbs the balance in nature.
4. Apart from this there will be increased chances of natural calamities such as floods and droughts.
