In the United States, our black citizens live in constant fear of the police.  They know that any encounter with law enforcement may be their last moments on this Earth. 

For too long, white citizens have recognized the danger police pose to their brothers and sisters of color--and, instead of fighting for black lives, we have chosen to weaponize the police against them.

Susan Schulz was most certainly aware of the fatal danger police pose to black lives.  And, yet, she chose to risk the lives of her neighbors  Fareed Nassor Hayat & Norrinda Brown Hayat by making a false report to the Montclair Police.  On video, Susan Schulz harassed her neighbors repeatedly over a porch in the Hayat's backyard.  Many residents of the neighborhood, and even Schulz's wife, defended the Hayat family and tried to stop Schulz's harassment.  In response, Susan Schulz purposefully and knowingly made a false report to the police with the intention of threatening her neighbor's safety.  Schulz even claimed that the Hayat family had thrown a brick at her and accused the family of assault; the police department responded to the report in force.  The Hayat family says Ms. Schulz has harassed them for over two years.   

Susan Schulz has committed a heinous crime; she has endangered innocent lives and taken blatant advantage of a police system that has constantly suppressed and endangered black lives.  We, the citizens of the United States, ask that the Environmental Protection Agency immediately dismiss Susan Schulz for endangering the lives of Fareed and Norrinda Hayat by knowingly filing a false police report.  We also ask that the Montclair Police Department files criminal charges and levies fines against Susan Schulz for the crime of filing a false police report.

It is time all Americans send the message that this behavior is not acceptable.  Racism will not be tolerated.  We will no longer stand by while entitled, white Americans endanger black lives over petty fights.
