SECRET GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS- FORMAL DISCLOSURE APPLICATION LODGED

The clock is ticking—and the truth is being kept from the public.

The UK Government is withholding key documents about lynx reintroduction. Despite repeated requests, it has refused to release the unredacted information needed to understand the evidence, discussions, and decisions behind its position to refuse to review any lynx license application. An untenable and irrational position.

With the High Court hearing due to begin on 14 October, the Lynx UK Trust has been forced to lodge a formal disclosure application to seek access to these crucial documents.

This is deeply concerning. Decisions about the future of our wildlife and countryside must not be made behind closed doors. The public, the court, and everyone affected deserves to see the full evidence—not information hidden behind redactions.

The Lynx UK Trust should not have to fight this hard simply to obtain documents held by the Government.

We need transparency. We need accountability. We need the truth before the hearing begins.
