Petition updateBring the Lynx back to the UKIs There Enough Space to Bring Back Lynx to the UK?

The short answer is: YES!

Research shows* that in the UK there is enough suitable habitat to support a population upwards of 400 lynx.

At 2008 deer levels (which were lower than they are now), the same study indicated that the Southern Uplands and Kielder could house up to 50 lynx.

A more recent 2019 study indicated that population viability in Kielder is over 90%.

There is compelling evidence that, within England, Kielder is the best candidate site for a trial reintroduction, and that such a trial would be successful.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We appreciate your continued support and commitment to bringing the lynx back to the UK. We get contacted a lot about how else you can help.

It’s very simple- share, share, share! We need to send a clear message that demonstrates the public support that we know we have.

  • Share this petition with your friends on social and by email
  • Share our content to amplify our voice
  • Make sure you're following us on Facebook and Instagram, so you never miss our content, updates and information.

These steps may be small, but they lead to massive changes.

Let's get the message out that the lynx needs to come back home and let's have a push for 20,000 signatures.

Many Thanks

Paul
