I care about the environment a lot, and believe that it should be protected at all costs. Now, that everyone is virtual, the use of energy is sky rocketing up, and this isn’t good for the environment. I think that Arlington as a whole needs to be careful about the energy we consume, and that we should use more renewable resources. Hydropower, solar power, biomass, wind power, and much more energy sources are green friendly and efficient. If we take the time to use what is there for us, Arlington and Virginia will change for the better. Not to mention the harm some of these sources are causing. The US is the second leading country in CO2 emissions, and this is a major cause of global warming. Some do not realize the importance that the environment gives us, and humans are not looking at the potential consequences they cause. Arlington clearly has resources to be able to successfully use renewable energies on a high amount, but we didn’t take this into action. We NEED to have greener energy, because Arlington-and the world- depends on it.

Some things you could do to help right now‼️
Turn off the lights you are not using, USE THE SUN AS AN ENERGY SOURCE, don’t use energy you do not need, take advantage of natural resources, don’t litter, take short showers, don’t use water you don’t need, there are much more! But these are a few ways YOU can make a change!!
