Despite alerting the school on several occasions, we received no satisfactory action or response. Alarmingly, on the last day of school, she was physically assaulted, and this incident went unreported to us by the principals and school staff. It was only days later, after concerning symptoms emerged, that we discovered she had sustained a head concussion. This painful experience underscores the urgent need for systematic reforms to protect all students from bullying and its harmful consequences.

Bullying in schools disrupts learning environments, infringes on students' rights, and can have devastating psychological and physical effects on the victims. According to a report by the National Center for Education Statistics, about 20% of students ages 12-18 experienced bullying nationwide in 2019. The impact of bullying is profound, affecting students' mental health, academic performance, and overall well-being. Despite existing policies, incidents continue to fall through the cracks, leaving parents and children feeling helpless and unsafe.
