I am deeply moved by the human rights injustices that are occurring in both Palestine and Israel. The ongoing conflict has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis, with countless innocent civilians being denied access to basic necessities such as food, water, and medical care.  

According to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), over 2 million people in Palestine are currently in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Similarly, civilians on both sides live under constant threat due to escalating violence.

It is crucial for governments worldwide to step up their efforts and ensure that basic humanitarian aid is provided to these affected regions as well as aiming to settle the matter rather than aggravating it. This includes not only emergency relief but also long-term support for rebuilding infrastructure and providing psychological support for trauma victims.

In this era where human rights should be universally respected, it is heartbreaking that such conditions persist. We call upon world leaders including leaders of the UK,  USA and international organisations alike to place bias aside and take immediate action.
