The Issue

Mr. He has been an extraordinary teacher in my life, and his influence in Pasadena High School's Mandarin program is undoubtedly invaluable. His dedication to teaching and his ability to make Mandarin both understandable and exciting have greatly enhanced my educational experience. Many students, including myself, have benefitted immensely from his classes, gaining not only language skills but also cultural insights that might otherwise be overlooked.

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that Mr. He's position at Pasadena High School may be in jeopardy. This is a significant concern for all of us who have seen the transformative impact he has had on students over the years. His teaching goes beyond just language; it creates a bridge of understanding, which is crucial in our diverse and interconnected world.

The Mandarin program that Mr. He leads is one of the few opportunities for students in our area to access this critical language. Removing such an essential component from our curriculum would deprive future students of the valuable educational and cultural benefits it provides. According to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, learning Mandarin can significantly enhance students' cognitive skills and cultural awareness, preparing them for a globalized workforce.

Our goal is to ensure Mr. He can remain in his teaching position so he can continue to inspire and educate students. By signing this petition, you are supporting the continuation of a quality education and the preservation of a vital language program, essential for broadening students' global perspective.

Please join us in our efforts to support Mr. He and the Mandarin program at Pasadena High School. Your voice matters in helping to shape a diverse and comprehensive learning environment for current and future students. Sign this petition to keep Mr. He where he belongs—teaching and inspiring at Pasadena High School.
