As Canadian citizens, we trust our government with our hard-earned money, collected in the form of taxes, with the expectation that these funds will be utilized to improve our country and address our essential needs. Unfortunately, there is a growing concern that our taxes are being allocated away from these important goals. Instead, large portions of our financial resources are dedicated towards supporting the oppressive regime of other governments. If a government or Country is in need to resource, the Canadian government is more than welcome to aid them. However a regime that is capable of providing more than enough for its self and it’s people, and on the other hand is using that same money to fund wars and genocides, is not worth spending on. 

Canada is currently facing significant challenges that require immediate attention and funding. According to various resources , as of recent estimates approximately 3.7 million Canadians live in poverty. This is a critical issue that demands our urgent attention and resources. Yet our taxes are added to the overflowing full pockets of oppressive regimes. Also our healthcare system, educational institutions, and overall economy are in need urgent upgrades and continuous investment to maintain the standard of living we all deserve. 

When our tax dollars are sent abroad, they are not contributing to the immediate and pressing issues here at home. It is time for the Canadian government to prioritize its citizens by ensuring that tax revenues are primarily allocated to improve our quality of life, support our economic stability, and reduce significantly reduce the poverty rate. Allocating funds domestically can open up  jobs opportunities, support local businesses, and form  a healthier and more prosperous society. 

We urge the government to re think  its spending priorities and ensure that our taxes are used primarily for the benefit of Canadian citizens.
