Unseat Unruh and other RNC Convention Rules Committee members biased against Donald Trump

Unseat Unruh and other RNC Convention Rules Committee members biased against Donald Trump
The Issue
Kendal Unruh, and other members of the Republican Convention Committee on Rules and Order of Business have made it publicly known of their visceral dislike of Presumptive Nominee, Donald Trump. Delegates from Colorado, all 30 of them, like Kendal Unruh were elected via Committee as opposed to the public electorate. Mrs. Unruh is one of the 30 delegates bound by state party rules to support Ted Cruz at the Convention. Due to her bias against Mr. Trump, Mrs. Unruh is publicly leading an effort to change the convention rules that would allow delegates bound to Mr. Trump to vote against him - even on the first ballot. She has publicly advocated "chaos" at the Convention. According to Newsweek, she stated, "Short -term, yes there's going to be chaos..." In addition, the Post has Mrs. Unruh saying, "This literally is an 'Anybody but Trump' movement...Nobody has any idea who is going to step in and be the nominee but we're not worried about that." Chaos, disruption. Keep in mind that Mr. Trump has garnered the following: 1,542 delegates, 36 states and 13,900,000 votes - millions of votes. As a high school government teacher, Mrs. Unruh should be aware that Mr. Trump is the presumptive nominee due to the will of the people. It is of grave concern that an individual with the bias and ideas expressed by Mr. Unruh maintains a seat on an important Rules committee that has the ability to significantly impact the convention. No matter the Party, Convention, or the nominee, no one with the bias and opinions of Mr. Unruh should be seated on any Convention Committee especially a committee as vital as the Rules committee. She is very obviously entitled to her opinion and like all American citizens, she has the freedom to vote for her choice of candidate; she has the freedom to voice her opinion. In fact, Colorado GOP bylaws stipulate that the delegate is bound to the candidate to whom they pledge their support on the first ballot at the national convention unless that candidate releases them "through public declaration or written notification". She is not, however entitled to utilize her position on the Rules committee to usurp the will of the electorate because her candidate is not the presumptive nominee. In addition, she does not have the right to advocate chaos and disruption for her own purpose. She, or any other member who exhibits this conflict of interest should step down as his/her/their position on the committee is no longer appropriate. Please keep undue influence out of the Convention Rules Committee and help our RNC delegates support the will of the people by signing this petition requesting that Mrs. Unruh and other biased Rules committee members step down from the Republican Convention Committee on Rules an Order and preserve the integrity of this distinguished body.
