Enhancing the ABM Strand: Empowering Future Business Leaders

The Issue

Introduction:

The undersigned, on behalf of the senior high school curriculum's ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management) strand, urge educational authorities and stakeholders to solve the urgent challenges. Future business executives' thoughts are mostly shaped by the ABM strand, although it faces some obstacles that make it less effective. This petition intends to draw attention to the issues, offer workable solutions, and highlight the advantages of an improved ABM strand.

Problem:

Lack of practical experience: The current ABM curriculum often lacks opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in real business environments (Sabarillo, 2019). This results in a gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, leaving graduates ill-prepared for the complexities of the business world.

Solution:

Enhance your practical training by adding new elements like case studies, business simulations, and internships to the ABM program. Work along with nearby companies to give students practical experiences that will help them comprehend company procedures and difficulties better.

Benefits:

1.    Improved employability: Graduates of an ABM program will have the knowledge and expertise that employers are looking for, enhancing their chances of finding work and succeeding in the corporate world.

2.    Fostering entrepreneurship: The ABM strand will develop the next generation of creative and socially conscious business leaders, stimulating economic growth and job creation. This is done by placing a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship education.
