Although certain government initiatives like the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) have provided some relief, they are not enough and lack adequate funding to address the increasing number of impoverished Filipinos. Inadequate healthcare, education, affordable housing, and stable jobs contribute to the issue, keeping families stuck in a cycle of poverty with few opportunities for upward mobility.

In order to effectively address poverty in the Philippines, it is essential to establish a wide-ranging and inclusive social welfare system, develop sustainable job programs for those without work or with insecure employment in urban and rural regions, and provide support for entrepreneurship through small business loans, grants, and employment projects aimed at women and minority groups. Additionally, enhancing educational opportunities in underprivileged and rural areas, including expanding scholarships and offering free school supplies to disadvantaged children, is crucial. This involves investing in initiatives that meet current needs, as well as providing sustainable solutions to help individuals and communities overcome poverty. We can create a setting where every Filipino has the opportunity to improve their lives and their families' lives by enhancing social welfare, offering quality education and healthcare, generating employment, and guaranteeing economic stability.
