This makes it difficult for students to concentrate and for teachers to provide the attention each student deserves. According to the Department of Education in the Philippines, there is a shortage of 88,000 classrooms nationwide as of 2022. Meanwhile, critical facilities like science laboratories and computer rooms are either non-existent or lacking the necessary equipment.

Similarly, schools in the Philippines are also experiencing shortcomings, of a different nature. The challenge often lies in the modernization of facilities to align with technological advancements. Many schools have outdated digital infrastructure that hampers the implementation of modern teaching techniques, which are integral in today's digital age.
